How to be an Effective Board Member: The importance of Ministry Boards cannot be overlooked. They provide essential support for Pastoral Leadership dealing with many issues, from the simplex to the complex.
Unfortunately, many board members don’t really understand what they signed on for. Board members must not only bring intentional care and oversight to the financial affairs of their churches, but must clearly understand the mission, and implement controls of administration to achieve that mission. Then there are the legal “Fiduciary” responsibilities….
In this workshop, we will discuss how board members can effectively be prepared to meet their responsibilities, in order to further the church’s mission.
