Leading Effective Team Meetings: Whether you lead a staff team, a group of regular volunteers, or even just your occasional event this session will help you plan for and effectively lead a meeting with purpose, engagement, and hopefully even a little fun.

Discovering Your Gifts:
Ever wondered what God’s asking you to do to serve His kingdom? Ever felt a little out of place in a volunteer or leadership position? These are reasonable questions and the great news is that God has given you natural gifts and abilities called spiritual gifts. Join us for this session as we talk about ways to discover and most effectively use the gifts God has given you.

In 2002, I made my first trip to New York City (NYC) on a collegiate missions trip. God gripped my heart tremendously that first trip, and my life was forever changed. Through college and seminary my interest in reaching the lost through church planting was piqued. Fast forward 10 years from that first trip, and God clearly put these two loves together and called me to be part of planting churches. In 2013, I made the move to the Big Apple to play a small part in God’s story of redemption for a place of global impact unlike any other. During the past few years God has blessed this calling and used me in ways I never imagined.
I'm originally from Tennessee and have a fantastically supportive family and community back home. I love sports, traveling and seeing others reach the potential God has for them.

NYC has been called the city with the “largest global impact and influence in the world.” As we reach NYC for Christ, we have the potential to reach areas of the world. We have the opportunity to share the gospel with individuals and families we will never meet. The world has come to NYC; let's continue to bring NYC the gospel! God is at work planting new churches to spread the hope and peace of the gospel in NYC.

I serve as a church planting team member with Bridge Community Church (BCC) in Long Island City, Queens. BCC is a new church plant sharing grace and peace as we build relationships in our community. I also serve as a missionary mobilizer for the Send NYC team, and I help connect missionaries to church plants. I love to see God lead Christ followers to follow His will for their lives.

A Proven Tool to Help Revitalize Your Church: Come see how mission trips can be "accelerated discipleship opportunities" for church members, and a partnership with an international "sister" church or community can inspire fresh passion and purpose in your congregation. I've heard multiple pastors confirm that the spiritual growth they've witnessed in people after a one-week mission trip typically takes them 3+ years to inspire from the pulpit. And other churches have experienced total revitalization in their body through rallying together around a meaningful partnership with a "sister" church in the developing world where they can empower the vulnerable, develop communities and spread the Gospel.

This workshop will look at short-term mission trips done right - trips that help and don't hurt; trips that truly make a lasting impact; and trips that don't end in themselves, but catapult increased purpose and service in the local church and community upon returning home. It will also look at how U.S. churches can build meaningful global partnerships to more effectively be Christ's witnesses "...to the ends of the earth."

God provides specific opportunities for every church body to spread the Gospel and advance His kingdom. If your church is looking for another one of those opportunities, or is simply looking for more tools to disciple your own body, this workshop is for you.

Creating A Guest Friendly Atmosphere: First impressions matter. Statistics show that people decide whether or not they will return to a church within seven minutes of their first visit. From the parking lot to the platform, are you creating an atmosphere that makes a second visit more likely? Discover best practices to make guests feel at home.

Recruiting & Retaining Volunteers:
The Pareto principle states that 80% of the work is typically done by 20% of the people in an organization; imagine if you could reverse that trend in your local church. Create systems that will empower more people to live on mission and serve the world. Find principles to sustain a healthy, growing volunteer culture.

Pastor Keith and his wife Amy are Long Island natives. They are raising their two children, Nathanael and Cecelia, to be true "Long Islanders" who believe everything is 10-15 minutes away, and quick access to a 7-11 is essential.
They have been leading Truth Community Church since October 2015. Their passion to connect all people to Jesus is inspiring. They have a heart to reach our community with the message of God's love.

A Call for a Contextually Conscious Church Revitalization: Jesus said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” – Luke 10:2 (ESV) We pray for laborers but would we be ready if God sent them? Are we inadvertently turning away those who are being sent to our door steps instead of encouraging, engaging, welcoming, listening, learning and growing with them. Join us as we discuss how to have time tested, contextually conscious, Great Commission driven conversations with your community as your church engages in revitalization. The revitalization process is not a trending terminology of our times, but a humbling tool that God uses to revitalize us personally, along with our churches and community.

How to be an Effective Board Member: The importance of Ministry Boards cannot be overlooked. They provide essential support for Pastoral Leadership dealing with many issues, from the simplex to the complex.Unfortunately, many board members don’t really understand what they signed on for. Board members must not only bring intentional care and oversight to the financial affairs of their churches, but must clearly understand the mission, and implement controls of administration to achieve that mission. Then there are the legal “Fiduciary” responsibilities….
In this workshop, we will discuss how board members can effectively be prepared to meet their responsibilities, in order to further the church’s mission.

A native of Long Island, the son of a Pastor, and the grandson of a Missionary/Church Planter, David has been involved in many facets of church work since a young boy, serving in Youth leadership, Pastoral positions, and Organizational Boards and Committees. He served as the Long Island Presbyter for the NY Ministry Network (AG), and currently assists the NY Superintendent as the Executive Assistant serving the Metro Regions.
David’s passion and focus, is to see churches revitalized, ministers trained and empowered, and new congregations successfully planted.

David is CPA with over 35 years accounting experience. He is married for 35 years to his wife Dorothy. They have two adult children, Lauren and Nicholas.

•Church Security: Introduction, Facility Security Assessments, Team Development, Background Screening, Legal and Insurance Considerations

My Name is Richard Perez it is my honor and privilege to be at the forefront of BoldSecure. I have been in the Law Enforcement World for over 24 years. My career started in the New York City Police Academy, in the late 1980's. I then had the opportunity to transfer to the Yonkers Police department and work in several specialized units like the Emergency Services Unit and Special Operations Unit. The list of certifications consist of being an NCIC operator for the Police department. (NCIC is a computerized index of criminal justice information (i.e.- criminal record history information, fugitives, stolen properties, missing persons). It is available to Federal, state, and local law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies and is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The purpose for maintaining the NCIC system is to provide a computerized database for ready access by a criminal justice agency making an inquiry and for prompt disclosure of information in the system from other criminal justice agencies about crimes and criminals. This information assists authorized agencies in criminal justice and related law enforcement objectives, such as apprehending fugitives, locating missing persons, locating and returning stolen property, as well as in the protection of the law enforcement officers encountering the individuals described in the system.)

I have taken my experience with these 2 decades of Law Enforcement and have placed them at the disposal of our clients when it relates to making the right choices when conducting a background check for there organization or when dealing with Church Security concerns.

When the gospel is communicated clearly and fully people see themselves and Christ in a whole new light. Pastor Scott has served as the Senior Pastor of Grace Church since January of 1994. He is responsible for the preaching, vision and direction of Grace Church. His desire is for Grace Church to be "A Great Commission Church". That is, a church where God is worshiped; and a place where people are saved, find true fellowship, grow spiritually, and discover their place of ministry. Pastor Scott is married to Veronica and they have four sons.
